Abducted Zimbabwe opposition activist found dead

Tragic news has emerged from Zimbabwe, as an opposition activist who was recently abducted has been discovered dead.

The body of Tapfumanei Masaya was found in an advanced state of decomposition on the outskirts of Harare, according to a statement released by his party, the Citizens Coalition for Change.

Although the police have confirmed the discovery of a body at the specified location, they have not yet determined its identity and have promised to provide further information in due course.

The Citizens Coalition for Change alleges that the activist was forcibly taken by armed individuals while engaging in campaign activities in support of a party candidate in preparation for the upcoming by-elections on December 9th.

The party firmly attributes the violent incident to state agents, an accusation that the ruling Zanu-PF party has vehemently refuted.

This distressing incident of abduction and the subsequent death of the activist aligns with a distressing trend of opposition politicians being subjected to abductions in Zimbabwe.

It is truly disheartening to witness such tragic events unfolding in Zimbabwe, and the international community must remain vigilant in monitoring the situation. #Zimbabwe
