Ant-Gay Protests call for sacking of Kenya Judges

A group of individuals in Kenya engaged in an anti-gay protest outside the Supreme Court in Nairobi.

This demonstration involved various civil society and religious organizations who were expressing their discontent with a recent court ruling permitting the registration of gay and lesbian groups within the country.

Some protesters were holding signs demanding the resignation of the Supreme Court judges.

A decade ago, a government-funded organization declined to register an LGBTQ rights group, arguing that it advocated for same-s3x behavior, which is prohibited by law in Kenya.

However, this year, the judges overturned that decision. Kenya's President, William Ruto, has encouraged religious leaders to uphold what he describes as traditional values. #Kenya
