A tragic incident is currently under investigation in Tororo District, where a 23-year-old pregnant woman was allegedly brutally killed by her husband before he took his own life.
The couple, identified as Grace Adikini and Micheal Ochwo, reportedly had domestic conflicts that led to the horrifying incident.
Ochwo, a casual worker, used an axe to attack his wife, causing fatal injuries. Immediately after the attack, he attempted to hang himself but instead ran onto a busy road and was struck by a speeding truck.
Adikini's body was discovered with severe head wounds. The police have visited the crime scene and collected evidence, including the axe, slasher, and blood-stained nylon rope.
The bodies of the deceased have been taken to the local hospital's mortuary for postmortem examinations.
Local authorities and police have condemned the incidence and urge couples to seek help rather than resorting to silence, while also cautioning against drug use among the youth.
