A £45k Tesla Model Y burst into flares and sent dark smoke surging down a North London road on Sunday morning, with inhabitants detailing hearing a "snapping commotion" from inside their own homes as the electric vehicle went to a singed wreck.
The vehicle, belonging to a one Eugenio Mereu, is "a similar vehicle, same tone, same year" as his neighbors', who presently fears his unrivaled delight could meet a similar destiny.
What lit the fire is obscure as no one was in the vehicle at that point.
