Zambian opposition leader faces allegations of libel.

Zambian opposition leader Fred M’membe, head of the Socialist Party, has been accused of libel and granted bail after sharing controversial posts on social media. The Police Chief, Graphael Musamba, stated that M’membe's recent comments could potentially incite "civil disobedience" against the government.

Musamba pointed out M’membe's mention of military juntas in West Africa as an attempt to disrupt the country's peaceful state, questioning if this aligns with the socialism M’membe advocates for. M’membe refutes the accusations and continues to release statements online despite his arrest.
