Man from Karengyere trading centre, Tukamuhabwa Yarid, was arrested by Rubanda police for allegedly killing his wife, Scovia Kobusingye, following a heated argument on August 25, 2023.
During the dispute, Yarid reportedly attacked his wife physically, resulting in her death after he hit her head with a stool. The local community apprehended Yarid and handed him over to Muko police station.
Elly Maate, the spokesperson for Kigezi Region Police, confirmed the incident and mentioned that investigations are ongoing, with the case being registered as a murder by assault under reference number CRB.320/2023 at Rubanda Central Police Station.
