Two suspected goat thieves killed, bodies burnt

Police in Butebo District, Eastern Uganda, are investigating an incident in Nasenyi village where two individuals suspected of stealing goats were killed and their bodies set on fire by an enraged mob. 

The suspects, identified as Saronyl Huslyini and Muhamud Koire from Kalamira village, Busiki county in Namutumba district, were riding a motorcycle with stolen goats. They were pursued and caught by boda boda riders and later lynched. 

The police promptly responded, gathered evidence, interviewed witnesses, and retrieved items including burnt bodies, goats, a motorcycle, and a national ID card. The bodies are currently at Mbale city mortuary for postmortem examination.
