Kenyan sets himself on fire over high cost of living
A Kenyan man in Mombasa set himself on fire as a protest against the expensive cost of living.

He climbed a statue in a busy roundabout, ignited himself, but was rescued by bystanders who extinguished the flames.

He's now receiving treatment at the Coast General Teaching and Referral Hospital. The man explained that he was also expressing dissatisfaction with the high living expenses and what he believed was a controversial outcome of the previous year's presidential election, where Raila Odinga, the opposition leader, was defeated by President William Ruto.
