China is securing the majority of construction projects in Africa.

 

 China is dominating the majority of large-scale construction ventures in Africa, holding a significant 31% of infrastructure contracts worth $50 million or more in 2022.

 This marks a stark contrast to the 1990s, where Western companies secured 8 out of 10 such contracts on the continent.

 Impressively, Chinese companies have executed infrastructure projects worth a staggering $155 billion in sub-Saharan Africa within the last two years. 

This stands in comparison to the United States' foreign direct investment in Africa, which amounted to $44.8 billion in 2021. #China #Africa
