A radio station in Burkina Faso was taken off the air following an interview that criticized the coup in Niger.

Radio Oméga, a popular radio station in Burkina Faso, has been temporarily taken off the air by the new government following an interview that criticized the recent coup in Niger.

The interview featured a spokesperson from a newly formed movement in Niger aiming to reinstate President Mohamed Bazoum.

Radio Oméga states that the suspension was prompted by threats against its leaders and journalists, allegedly from individuals claiming to support the government and demanding the halt of the station's programs.
