A 21-year-old man named Lokong Lucky was apprehended by the police in Karamoja region on August 16th, 2023.
He was caught while traveling on a Robolyn bus at the Kapedo checkpoint. The authorities found him in possession of a significant amount of ammunition, specifically 145 rounds of SMG ammunition.
Lucky was on his way from Kitgum to Lolelia Subcounty in Kaabong District. This incident highlights ongoing efforts by the government to confiscate illegal firearms owned by cattle herders in the area.
