North Korea Pops Off ICBM As South And Japan Meet At NATO Summit

North Korea fired an intercontinental ballistic missile off its western coast on Wednesday, presumably timed to coincide with Japan and South Korea officials meeting on the sidelines of the NATO summit in Lithuania.[RT]

Japan’s chief cabinet secretary confirmed the missile traveled for 74 minutes at an altitude of 6,000km and reached a distance of 1,000km - making it the longest-ever flight for a North Korean missile.

Pyongyang had accused the US of provocatively breaching its airspace earlier this week - which Washington denied.
