Iowa Governor Tightens Noose On Ab0rtions In Her State

Iowa Governor Kim Reynolds promised to sign a bill into law on Friday that will ban most ab0rtions after roughly six weeks after state Republicans passed it on Tuesday.

The 14-hour special session Tuesday was called after the state Supreme Court had refused to reinstate an almost identical law Reynolds had brought through in 2018.

The law will take effect immediately when signed Friday, cutting the window for ab0rtions from the current 20-week limit to when cardiac activity can be detected.
