In the wake of the shocking assassination attempt on Pastor Aloysius Bugingo, the Kampala Metropolitan Police has declared a cash reward of Shs20 million for any member of the public providing credible information leading to the arrest of the suspects involved in the heinous crime.

The incident occurred on Tuesday, January 2nd, when Pastor Bugingo fell victim to an attempted assassination. Despite sustaining injuries during the assault, the resilient pastor managed to take control of the situation, steering his bullet-riddled vehicle to Mulago Hospital for urgent medical attention.

However, the same could not be said for his valiant bodyguard, Muhumuza Richard, who tragically succumbed to the merciless attack. Richard was pronounced dead upon arrival at the hospital, leaving a void in the security detail that once surrounded Pastor Bugingo.

Police Spokesperson Fred Enanga, expressed the urgency of obtaining information to bring the perpetrators to justice. "We are announcing a cash reward of Shs20 million to any member of the public who provides credible information leading to the arrest of the suspects involved in this gruesome attack on Pastor Aloysius Bugingo," stated Enanga during a press briefing on Monday.
