Pastor Aloysious Bugingo, the lead pastor at Prayer Ministries International, narrowly escaped a targeted attack that claimed the life of his trusted assistant and junior pastor, Muhumuza Richard.
The assailant struck during an undisclosed event, leaving both Bugingo and Richard grappling with a sudden and violent assault. Despite sustaining injuries, Pastor Bugingo heroically managed to transport the vehicle to Mulago Hospital for urgent medical attention. However, the situation took a tragic turn when Muhumuza Richard, the devoted assistant and bodyguard, succumbed to the severity of the assault and was pronounced dead upon arrival at the hospital.
Details surrounding the motives behind the attack remain shrouded in mystery, prompting the immediate involvement of law enforcement agencies. Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) Luke Owoyesigyire addressed the media, shedding light on the unsettling turn of events.
"Despite sustaining injuries during the attack, Pastor Aloysious Bugingo managed to transport the vehicle to Mulago Hospital. Regrettably, his bodyguard, Muhumuza Richard, succumbed to the assault and was confirmed dead upon arrival at the hospital. Currently, Pastor Bugingo is undergoing medical treatment and is under close monitoring," ASP Luke Owoyesigyire said.
