In South Africa, law enforcement officials reported that 18 individuals suspected of being involved in robbery activities were fatally shot in a confrontation with the police in Limpopo province.
According to the National Police Commissioner, these suspects were purportedly planning a cash-in-transit heist and were linked to similar criminal activities in various other provinces.
The commissioner said, "We suspect that this criminal group has been responsible for several cash-in-transit incidents in Limpopo, Mpumalanga, and Gauteng."
During the approximately 90-minute shootout, one police officer sustained injuries. #SouthAfrica
