A hospital located near Atlanta is facing legal action after allegations arose that a baby's skull and neck were fractured during childbirth last month. |
The lawsuit claims that the infant's delivery was complicated by shoulder dystocia, a condition where the baby's shoulders encounter difficulty passing through the pelvic area during våginal birth, resulting in a halt in the baby's descent.
One of the mother's lawyers mentioned during a press conference that the baby's head and neck were pulled and manipulated so forcefully during delivery that their skull and neck bones were fractured.
