Former Thailand Prime minister Hospitalised

 


Former Thai Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra, who recently returned from self-imposed exile, was hospitalized due to concerns about his heart and high blood pressure after his first night in jail.[Reuters]

The current condition of the 74-year-old Thaksin, the wealthy founder of the Pheu Thai party, remains uncertain. His representatives have not yet provided a response to inquiries about his health. 

The Corrections Department reported that Thaksin experienced chest tightness and high blood pressure, leading to his referral to a police hospital in Bangkok at approximately 2 a.m. on Wednesday.
