Bus Carrying 70 Pupils catches Fire



A Kakise bus carrying 70 pupils and 13 teachers from Pallisa Primary School caught fire and was almost completely destroyed while returning from a school festival in Serere. 

The incident happened on August 22, around 1am, as they were traveling back to Pallisa. The bus, registered as UAS 437P from Kakise Coaches, experienced a rear tire burst, resulting in a fire that engulfed the bus at Atot Swamp along Mukongoro road.

 Fortunately, all pupils and teachers were safely evacuated with no injuries but all their property got burnt. The bus has been towed to Ngora Central Police Station according to East Kyoga police PRO, SP Oscar Gregg Ageca.
