Trump Loses Immunity in Rápe Case

 

The US Department of Justice said that Donald Trump is no longer immune from responsibility for comments he made to răpe accuser E Jean Carroll. Trump had previously said that he wasn't responsible because he was president at the time when he made the comments in 2019.


Government attorneys said Tuesday they no longer had adequate premise to conclude Trump acted inside the extent of his obligations.


A letter recorded with the managing judge contended that "Mr. Trump was persuaded by a 'individual complaint' originating from occasions that happened numerous years before Mr. Trump's administration," alluding to the 1996 claimed assault episode.
