An army air strike in southern Khartoum led to the tragic loss of at least 40 civilians' lives and left many others wounded, according to a statement by a local volunteer group.
The attack, which occurred on Sunday morning, involved drones conducting a series of intense air strikes in the predominantly RSF-occupied district of southern Khartoum.
The injured had to be transported using unconventional means such as rickshaws or donkey carts, as stated by a spox for the Emergency Room, an organization striving to provide medical and other essential services.
In response to the incident, the RSF accused the Sudanese army of carrying out the attack, while the Sudanese army denied responsibility and pointed fingers at the RSF for the strikes.
