The Ugandan government has undertaken a rebranding initiative for its telecom entity, transforming UTL into UTCL (Uganda Telecommunications Corporation Limited).
Ownership is divided with 60% of shares held by the Ministry of Finance and 40% by the Ministry of ICT. UTCL is tasked with delivering communication services while actively participating in the nation's progress.
