Public doctors in Nigeria have concluded their strike following discussions with lawmakers.

Doctors working in Nigerian public hospitals have concluded a three-week strike aimed at securing higher wages, according to the doctors' union.

The National Association of Resident Doctors made the decision to halt the strike following a productive discussion with lawmakers, led by Senate President Godswill Akpabio, in the capital city of Abuja.

The NARD president expressed confidence in a positive outcome, citing their interaction with the Senate President.

This strike occurred as the first among public sector employees in response to a significant increase in fuel prices and transportation costs.
