The al-Shabaab extremist group has claimed credit for a suicide bomb attack at a military academy in Somalia’s capital Mogadishu that killed 13 and wounded 20 more on Monday.
Last year’s government campaign had driven the al Qaeda-linked group into southern areas of the east African nation, but deadly incursions have increased - including one in May that claimed the lives of 54 Ugandan peacekeepers.
