Nateete Woman Arrested for Killing Husband who Failed to Provide support to their Child


In Nateete, Rubaga Division, Kampala, a woman is currently in police custody facing murder charges for allegedly fatally stabbing the father of her child. 

The incident occurred following a disagreement between them regarding financial support for their child's medical needs. Despite efforts to rush the victim to Mengo Hospital, he unfortunately passed away upon arrival due to injuries sustained from the altercation. 

The suspect, Janat Natukunda, reportedly stabbed Ronald Kintu, also known as Rasta, in the neck and chest using a knife during the dispute at Nateete Central B Zone, Mabiito, Rubaga Division, Kampala District. The authorities recovered a blood-stained knife from the scene as investigations into the matter continue.

This unfortunate incident is not isolated, as domestic violence cases continue to be a significant concern nationwide. According to the 2023 Annual Police Crime Report, a total of 14,681 domestic violence cases were reported across the country. 

These cases often stem from various factors such as disputes over family property, financial support, substance abuse, and marital infidelity, highlighting the complex nature of domestic conflicts.
