Ugandan Man Commits Suicide After Wife Cheated on Him with Pastor

James Kayongo, a 32-year-old man from Kyabisire village in Lwampanga sub-county, Nakasongola district, has tragically taken his own life. The incident, which occurred on Friday, March 8, 2024, reportedly stemmed from Kayongo's inability to halt a romantic relationship between his wife and their church pastor.

The Regional Police Spokesman, Sam Twiineamaziima, confirmed the unfortunate event. Police reports indicate that Kayongo's body was discovered hanging from a tree in his garden on Saturday morning. The body was subsequently taken for a postmortem examination.

It is revealed that Kayongo and his wife had been embroiled in numerous domestic disputes due to allegations of her engaging in polyandrous relationships. Despite Kayongo's efforts to prevent his wife from attending church, particularly to see the pastor with whom she was reportedly involved romantically, he was unsuccessful.

With his attempts to intervene failing, Kayongo tragically resorted to taking his own life.

At the time of reporting, preparations for Kayongo's burial were underway.
