Northern Bypass and Entebbe Express Roads To Be Used By Only NAM Summit Delegates

In a significant development, it has been announced that sections of the Northern Bypass and the Entebbe Express Roads will be exclusively used by delegates, leading to extensive traffic diversions for regular commuters.

The Busega flyover on the Northern Bypass will witness a diversion, restricting access to the Kampala-Entebbe expressway. Additional diversions are scheduled along various points of the Northern Bypass, including Sentema, Nansana, Bwaise, Kalerwe, Kyebando, and Kisaasi interchange, flyover, and slip roads.

Motorists approaching the Bwaise flyover will experience redirected traffic onto Sir Apollo Kagwa Road for city centre access. At Mpala, traffic will be diverted to Entebbe Highway, while at Kisubi, redirection to Nakawuka Road will provide access to Kampala city.

The Kajjansi flyover will also undergo diversions, directing traffic to use the Kajjansi flyover towards Lubowa-Zana. Additionally, diversions at Serena-Kigo traffic lights, Mutungo-Kitiko traffic lights, and Busabala traffic lights will be in place for vehicles along Munyonyo spur.

For those approaching Munyonyo from Gaba Road, a redirection to UCB Road is advised for access to Buziga-Lukuli. These traffic alterations aim to facilitate the smooth movement of delegates while attending to the upcoming events, possibly of a significant nature, along these vital transportation routes.

As this exclusive use period unfolds, commuters are urged to plan their routes accordingly, considering the provided diversions and alternative roads to minimize disruptions during this designated period of limited public
