President Museveni's Remarks at the Uganda-South Africa Trade & Investment Summit

President Museveni as he closed the Uganda-South Africa Trade & Investment Summit at Speke Resort, Munyonyo, appealed to the South African investors to join forces with Uganda to ensure they could take advantage of the economic potential of the country. He emphasized that this would help build a strong economy for both nations and for Africa as a whole.

He also mentioned that the summit was crucial for linking Uganda's business potential with that of South Africa. He urged South African companies operating in Uganda, such as MTN and Stanbic Bank, to collaborate with the government's efforts to help all Ugandans enter the money economy and achieve the desired socio-economic transformation.

President Museveni expressed his gratitude to His Excellency Ramaphosa for sending South African investors to Uganda, stating that countries like Uganda had abundant resources in agriculture, minerals, forests, and more. He emphasized that Uganda had tremendous potential, and it was important for African nations to work together to harness these opportunities.
