The Secretary-General of the United Nations, Antonio Guterres, has expressed deep concern regarding the reportedly unacceptable living conditions experienced by President Mohamed Bazoum and his family while being held in arbitrary detention. A statement released by a UN spokesperson on Wednesday highlighted Guterres's worries.
"The Secretary-General underscores his apprehension regarding the well-being and security of the President and his family, and once again appeals for their immediate and unconditional release, along with the restoration of his position as the Head of State," the UN spokesperson conveyed.
