Scores in Kenya Strike Against Alleged Employment Scam

Numerous young Kenyan citizens have taken to the streets in Eldoret, expressing their dissatisfaction over alleged job scam. They claim to have given substantial amounts of money to a company, First Choice Recruitment and Consultancy Agency, which had assured them of overseas employment opportunities. However, the company failed to deliver on their promises.

These protestors are urging the agency to refund the money they had paid. Some individuals reportedly handed over as much as $2,800, hoping to secure jobs in various countries including the Middle East, Europe, and Canada.

Local sources indicate that Judy Chepchirchir, the agency's owner, has ignored repeated summons from both the Kenyan senate's Labour and Social Welfare committee as well as the county government's leadership.
