Ongoing and fierce conflict persists in Ethiopia's Amhara state.

 



In Ethiopia's Amhara region, specifically the major cities of Bahir Dar and Gondar, local inhabitants have conveyed that intense clashes between local militias and government forces have carried on into Tuesday, indicating that the violence remains relentless.


According to these residents, the confrontations involve the use of heavy weaponry, raising concerns about the safety of civilian populations. Disturbingly, the state-operated radio station in Bahir Dar has ceased broadcasting, as per reports from residents.


The city of Debrebirhan, an industrial hub located 130 kilometers to the north of the nation's capital, Addis Ababa, also witnesses ongoing battles. Residents here have reported the presence of drones in the vicinity.


Concurrently, reports of ongoing arrests continue to emerge from Addis Ababa.
