Israel Removes Jewish Residents from Conflict Zones in Ethiopia

Israel declared that it has successfully transported more than 200 of its nationals and Ethiopian Jewish individuals from two cities within the Amhara and Oromia areas, which have been adversely affected by recent unrest. These individuals have been relocated to the Ethiopian capital, Addis Ababa.

The Amhara region is home to a significant population of the Jewish community.

In an official statement, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu stated that he had given orders to transfer the evacuees away from the zones of conflict, with their ultimate destination being Israel.
