A tragic incident took place in Kassanda, Uganda, where a fatal accident occurred at the Myanzi Trading Centre.
According to the local Territorial Police, the accident happened early in the morning along the Mubende-Mityana highway.
Sadly, four individuals lost their lives, while three others were injured. The accident involved a black Fuso Fighter vehicle carrying matooke, which overturned due to brake failure.
The deceased victims' identities are unknown, but the injured individuals have been identified as Nambusi Grace, Bright Patrick, and Nadunga Lydia. They have been taken to Mityana Hospital for medical treatment, and the police have thoroughly examined the accident scene.
The vehicle has been taken to Myanzi Police Station for inspection. The incident highlights the importance of regular vehicle maintenance and inspection. SP Kawala Racheal, the PRO of the Wamala Region, shared this information in a press release, and further updates will be provided as the investigation continues.
