14 killed in church attack in eastern DRC

 

A church attack in the eastern province of Ituri, DR Congo, resulted in the death of at least 14 individuals. 

The incident occurred when militants from the CODECO group, one of several militias in the troubled region, targeted worshippers during prayer. 

Among the deaths were 9 civilians, 4 assailants, and a soldier.
