KAGADI- Two male bodies have been discovered dumped near Mpamba Swamp along Kagadi-Kikuube-Hoima Road in Kiryane Cell, Kagadi Town council, Kagadi district.
The shocking incident happened on 7th July, 2023. Joseph Maliseri, a son to late Aramazan Ruboha who was an NRM historical in Kagadi district, confirmed to have recognized the deceased persons as one of their family members.
According to Maliseri, the deceased persons are Clovis Byaruhanga 52 and his son Richard Nyakojo both residents of Kyangwali in Kikuube district.
He says the two were residing on the Land of their late father Aramazan Ruboha in Kyangwali before meeting their death.
Matia Aguma, a son to the deceased Clovis Byaruhanga, said his late father met his death after he was called by one Deo, a son to late Deo Kasiba to pick a cow from Mpeefu.
Aguma however says they are still confused about the manner in which their family members were killed.
Charles Kagadisa, the village chairperson for Kiryane cell said they suspect the deceased persons to have been killed from somewhere else and their bodies dumped in Kiryane.
Speaking to our reporter, the Albertine Region Police Spokesperson Julius Hakiza noted that the bodies were discovered in the wee hours of Friday morning by the conductor of Link buses who alerted the village vice chairperson for Kiryane cell.
Hakiza suspects the deceased persons could have been murdered and their bodies dumped in the area.
He adds that they recovered a Bajaj Motorcycle at the Crime scene which he believes will act as their starting point in making further investigation into the matter.
By press time the bodies of the deceased persons had been taken to Kagadi General Hospital Mortuary pending Postmortem examination.
