On Friday, Alibaba Group Holdings unveiled Tongyi Wanxiang, an artificial intelligence image generator, in its beta version for enterprise customers.
Tongyi Wanxiang will enter the market alongside competitors such as OpenAI's DALL-E and Midjourney Inc's Midjourney, which have already gained significant popularity globally.
Alibaba Cloud, following a recent restructuring that divided the Chinese tech giant into six units, also released Tongyi Qianwen, a text generator similar to ChatGPT, which was launched in April.
