Kayunga guard hops into River in Suicide attempt

Police and nearby people in Kayunga District were on Sunday night actually looking for the body of a guard joined to Bugerere Taxi drivers' savings society Ltd who is said to have hopped into river Ssezibwa in what family members and onlookers portrayed as a suicide attempt.

The police distinguished the casualty as Fred Ssebunya, 49, an inhabitant of Kayunga Town who was by the pursuit activity dreaded dead.

One of the casualty's companions, Mr John Kaeuna who was with him before he bounced into the river said Ssebunya grumbled of marriage issues.

"He strolled from Kayunga Town to Ssezibwa Bridge from where he settled on a decision against his better half in Kiyunga, Mukono District that he planned to hurl himself in river Ssezibwa," Mr Kawuna said.

Afterward, the departed's significant other called his child who is a cab driver and advised him regarding the matter.

"The departed's child and I went to River Ssezibwa Bridge where we found him standing yet apparently considering on his best course of action. He let us know he had chosen to bite the dust in light of marital difficulties," Mr Kawuna added.

Ssebunya later took off from them and bounced into the stream.

A police officer  at the scene who didn't like to be named on the grounds that he isn't approved to converse with the media said they had employed neighborhood divers to look for the body.
