High Court further remands MPs Ssegirinya and Ssewanyana

The International Crimes Division of the High Court in Kampala has again remanded the two National Unity Platform (NUP) Members of Parliament; Muhammad Ssegirinya and Allan Ssewanyana, until the 29th of June when it will give its ruling on their bail application.

The two lawmakers are challenging their continued detention despite being granted bail by the Masaka High court and later re-arrested.

The prosecution says the two were re-arrested on other charges relating to attacks that were carried out in Lwengo district so they are not in detention illegally.
