Gov't Takes Over Eight Private Schools In Kabale

 KABALE, UR :  The Kabale District committee on Thursday consistently supported the  takeover of eight  schools by the Government.

The movement for the endorsement of the takeover of the schools, was moved by the Health, Education and Community Based administrations advisory group Chairperson, additionally the Southern Division Female Councilor, Lydia Turyasingura, before it was consistently supported by the house.

The schools are Buturwagye, St Stephens Mwendo, St Jude Hamuganda in Mwendo ward, St Jude Hamuganda in Bukoora area and Buturwagye Primary school in Bushuro ward, all in Kitumba sub district, Kyabona Primary school in Katenga area of Kamuganguzi Sub County and Nyakijumba Primary school in Katokye area of Kyanamira Sub province.

Others are, Butenga p/s in Butenga ward of Rubaya Sub region, Karubanda P/s in Muyebe Parish of Buhara Sub province and Nyakasharara P/s in Nyakasharara area of Kaharo Sub County.

The District Workers agent, George Saturday Kakwenza, said that he was unable to protest the movement, on the grounds that the takeover of the schools will assist with drawing training administrations nearer to the networks as well as saving the students, who have been traveling significant distances to look for education. 

He refered to an illustration of students strolling eight kilometers from Hamuganda ward to Katenga elementary school in Kitumba Sub County.

The District Male Youth councilor, Ronald Bagamuhunda, expressed that as committee, they that in spite of the eight schools being attached to other government grade schools, they are in a sorry state because of absence of subsidizing.

He rushed to add that the takeover of schools, could give open positions to make individuals, who will be utilized like instructors and care staff.

The acting area Education official, Moses Bwengye Tumwijukye, invited the reception and endorsement for the takeover of the eight schools, saying that the committee has supported the schools subsequent to getting persuaded that they have sufficient land for future extension.

He added that once the Ministry of instruction and Sports endorses the takeover of the schools, the quantity of Government helped grade schools in the District will increment from 113 to 121.

The Kabale District Speaker, Flavia Nyinakiiza Kanagyizi, said that the solicitation presently anticipates postponing and examination by the Ministry of Education and Sports.
