Gov't Allocates Free Land To Turkish Investors

The Uganda Government has offered 600 sections of land of land in Nakasongola to Turkish financial backers for the foundation of an industry park.

The State Minister of Privatization and Investment, Evelyn Anite, not with standing, told the Turkish financial backers to accelerate the set up of ventures on the land, extend employment opportunities to Ugandans and proposition a business opportunity for the horticultural items made by the inhabitants nearby.

"The trade volume between Uganda and Turkey increased to $71m (2021), up from US$63 million in 2020. In 2021 alone, Turkish exports to Uganda increased by 26% & Uganda’s exports to Turkey increased by 418%. We have so much capacity, what is disturbing us is mainly value addition."_H.E Yoweri Kaguta Museveni, President of Uganda
