Another Borrowing Approved By Parliament for FY2021/22


Under Supplementary Schedule No.2 FY 2021/22, the Ministry of Finance is seeking for a total of Shs 617.9bn as supplementary budget in the FY 2021/2022.

The breakdown is as follows

>> Shs 86.3bn for Office of the President to cater for external financing from EXIM Bank for the National Science, Technology, Engineering and Innovation Skills Enhance Project.

>> Shs 77bn for State House to cater for classified expenditures.

>> Shs 64.4bn for UPDF to facilitate Operation Shujaa in DRC and Shs 87.5bn for operations in Karamoja sub region.

>> Shs 25bn for Ministry of Works for security roads in Karamoja.

>> Shs 2.5bn for Ministry of Gender to facilitate election of the Office bearers for the Uganda Moslem Supreme Council.

>> Shs1bn for Fort Portal Catholic Diocese and Shs 0.600Bn for Greater Ankole Diocese to facilitate preparations for the Uganda Martyrs Day celebrations 2022.

>> Shs 0.18bn for procurement and maintenance of diagnostic equipment for Naguru Referral Hospital.

>> Shs 0.39bn for procurement of two motor vehicles for the Head and Deputy Head of Uganda's Mission in Cairo.

>> Shs 251.7bn to meet wage shortfalls under Central and LG Votes.
