In the early kick-off of the English Premier league today was an encounter between Manchester United who visited Arsenal at the Emirates stadium for a top four clash.

The Gunners came into the clash having registered a dramatic 4-2 win against Chelsea in midweek at Stamford bridge as the European champions made a lot of blunders to gift Arsenal a well deserved Victory on the back of losing three matches in a row.

Arsenal came to the match according to odds as the favorites and they started on a high as they scored in two minutes through Nuno Tavarez on the rebound after Degea pulled off a fantastic reflex save following Saka's curling effort. The home side also bossed the play enjoying majority of the possession as the visitors were seemingly set to play on the counter.

Arsenal then doubled their lead through Nketiah but his goal was ruled out for offside by the Video Assistant Referee, however being awarded a penalty following a foul on Saka in the Manchester United box during build up. Saka calmly sent De Gea the wrong way as he slotted the penalty into the net.

Manchester United made a quick response as they scored through Christiano Ronaldo who was well placed to beat the Arsenal defence and goal keeper putting the Red devils back in the tie before halftime. The record premier league winners returned in the second half on a high as they pressed hard for the equalizer, getting a penalty which Bruno Fernandes failed to convert.

Arsenal's Saka was replaced by Holding, leaving the pitch injured in what would be a major blow in the Gunners' quest for champions league football next season. Rangnik, the United boss made a number of changes as he searched for an equalizer but it was Arsenal who put the match to bed after a screamer from Xhaka made it 3-1 for the home side.

A victory for Arteta's side means they are now forth, as they wait for Tottenham to play and Manchester United are now sixth after a disappointing display in this rivalry.
