Umeme welcomes new electricity amendment law!

This week, parliament passed the Electricity Amendment Bill which aims among other things to see direct industrial power supply in an effort to reduce inflation.

Energy Secretary-General Irene Bateebe says there are many government plans to reduce taxes from eight US cents to at least five US cents.
