Kenya's Former President Mwai Kibaki Succumbs at 90years

President Uhuru Kenyatta has announced the death of Elder Emilio Stanley Mwai Kibaki popularly known as Mwai Kibaki his pioneer. 

In a public radio address, the president praised the former pioneer as a "respectable man" for Kenyan law issues and a heated debate.

Kenya's third leader kicked the bucket on Friday in the 90's.

While reporting on his death, President Kenyatta remembered Kibaki as "an honest man" for the qualities he lived by - "his beliefs, his calmness, his firmness, his honesty and his concern for success, all things considered".

President Kenyatta, who is also the predecessor of Mwai Kibaki, praised the driving work of the former president in post-independence history, adding that he had received the gratitude and love of the people of Kenya and various countries around the world.

"President Kibaki will always be respected as a dignified person in the affairs of the Kenyan government ... his clear thinking and his appeal won the day, indefinitely," he said.

He said the nation would be in public mourning until the evening of the release of former President Mwai Kibaki.

Mr Kenyatta said the previous president would be offered a state funeral service.

All national banners like national flag at strategic activities are scheduled to fly at half pole.

Kibaki was the leader of Kenya from 2002 to 2012.
