POLICE REPORT: Over 370 Accidents Registered In one week, UGANDA


A total of 372 accidents occurred during this period and out of these 60 accidents
were fatal, 185 were serious and 127 were minor changes.


There were 388 accident victims during this period and out of these 66 people died
and 322 sustained injuries.


Now that the economy is fully opened and transport has gone back to normal, all
drivers are reminded to check the eps status of their cars and to also check the eps
status of their driving licenses. If you have any unpaid eps ticket on either your vehicle
or your driving permit endeavor to go to the nearby traffic office or any traffic
personnel on road with a EPS garget to give you a replacement ticket of the same.


The means of paying this EPS ticket include pay way, Agent banking, mobile money
and banks. We are giving you an ultimatum of two weeks up to 21st feb 2022 to clear
tickets off your cars and driving permits to avoid inconveniences since we are going
to mount an operation on the same and even run a list of EPS Defaulters in the
newspapers after 21st feb 2022.


How to check vehicle status on police tickets:

Text EPS vehicle number plate and send to 8888
A charge of 220/= will be applied.
If your vehicle has an EPS ticket, get a replacement ticket from any traffic
officer near you or any traffic office near you and pay the fine.
if you have to use mobile money platform under the URA payments pay with
PRN and the PRN will be printed on the EPS ticket at the bottom part of the
ticket.
